CHAPTER READ: Romans 11
SCRIPTURE SELECTED:
Romans 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”
35 “Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
36 For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Amen.
OBSERVATION:
God’s wisdom and knowledge are richer and deeper than anyone can fathom! We can’t even begin to measure or to understand His paths or to figure out all that He knows. He does not come to anyone for counsel, rather we go to Him. God owes no-one a dime, rather it is man who owes God and the depth of our debt to Him could never be repaid. It is from Him and through Him and for Him that all has been made and exists. To Him goes all the glory forever. Amen!
APPLICATION:
What a great reminder, to assert and to affirm how wonderful and marvelous is the depth of God’s wisdom and His ways. By the way, we pray at times, we act as if God owes us a favor? In our prayers, we tend to try and tell Him what to do and how to do it! We go about our daily lives as if the world revolves around “us” and not around ‘Him”. When we lose the wonder and awe of God, it will be reflected in how I live my life. I need to answer the questions: “Who really am I living for? For whose glory do I live: mine or His?”
PRAYER:
Lord, You are above all and for all and in all! I want my life to bring honor and glory to You this day! You are the source and supply of my life! You are my counselor and redeemer! May my life be a reflection of Your love and mercy! Thank You for allowing me to live in the shadow of Your love and for guiding me and directing my paths. Amen
