CHAPTER READ: Revelation 14
SCRIPTURE SELECTED: Revelation 14:6-7
6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7 He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
OBSERVATION: The Good news is “eternal”! It never goes out of style nor is it specific to one group of people for one particular time period! It is eternal and it is to be proclaimed to all who live on the earth – every nation, tribe, language and people! The Good news is backed by the One God who made the heavens and earth, the sea and the springs of water!”
APPLICATION: What a privilege to participate in taking this Gospel to the people of our community who have not heard the Good News which included them. God’s Salvation extends to my neighbor, my classmate, my children, my community! The message is for them and they need to hear it, because God’s judgment is at hand! The call is for everyone to Worship Him!
PRAYER: Lord, I’ve been given the privilege of taking the Good news and sharing it with those in my realm of influence. You want the world to respond and worship You. May I live in such a way that others will want to follow my example in worshiping You. Amen.
Thank you for the prayer. May the Holy Spirit remind us daily that living in a way that will allow others to desire to know more about Jesus, is pure JOY!
