Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 3
Observation:
All throughout this letter, Paul is expressing how much it pains him to be away from the readers of the letter. This shows an intimate relationship between the members of the early church. Using language about not being able to stand it any longer expresses to the reader that the writer of this letter is suffering from being apart.
Application:
The church today needs to have these types of relationships with each other. When someone doesn’t show up for a while people should be calling to tell them that they are missed. The church needs to have this type of love so the world can catch a glimpse of the love of Christ.
Prayer:
My prayer for you during this time is that you reach out to those friends of yours that you are unable to see and let them know that they are missed. That we are reminded daily to live in love.
