CHAPTER READ: Jude

SCRIPTURE SELECTED: Jude 24-25

24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

OBSERVATION: Jude warns his readers about those who are denying the faith and living according to the desires of their own flesh and he speaks to the fact that they will be condemned. He then closes with good news which simply lifts our eyes to HIM, who is able to keep us from stumbling and to present us before His glorious presence without fault and great joy. To Him, goes all the glory and the glory and the majesty both now and forever!

APPLICATION: I’m without excuse when it comes to living below God’s plan for my life for I have a God who is able to keep me from stumbling and who is committed to bringing me into His very presence without fault and with great joy. This life that He has enabled me to live is filled with “great joy” and is far better than the life I had been living apart from Him. This is accomplished by Him through Jesus Christ starting now and lasting on into eternity!

PRAYER: Lord, to You goes all the glory, honor, power and authority. You are the reason for my joy and my very life. You are the only explanation for anything good which comes out of me. To You, I trust and give all praise! Amen.
