For 75 years, God has been faithful to Kailua Church of the Nazarene. We gather to celebrate that history with joy and gratitude, but this anniversary is more than a look back. It is a holy invitation to seek God for what He wants to do now.
Revival begins with a deep sense of need. It begins when the people of God recognize that we cannot manufacture the healing, holiness, renewal, and transformation our hearts long for. We need the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. We need renewed love for Christ, compassion for the lost, strengthened families, restored prodigals, sanctified believers, and sinners brought to the saving grace of Jesus.
At the heart of revival is prayer: fervent, earnest, united prayer. Prayer that seeks the will of God and says, “Lord, begin in us.”
True revival cannot be controlled or manipulated. It is the gracious work of God among a people who are hungry for Him. When the Holy Spirit revives His church, the fragrance of Christ fills the gathered people of God and moves beyond the walls into homes, neighborhoods, streets, and communities.
That is our prayer for this anniversary revival. We are not simply celebrating what God has done in the past. We are coming with holy expectation for what God desires to do in our lives today.
Come celebrate with us. Come pray with us. Come expecting God to meet us. Come believing that the same God who has been faithful for 75 years is not finished yet.
