TITLE: “The Seal of My Salvation”
CHAPTER READ: Ephesians 1
SCRIPTURE SELECTED: Ephesians 1:13-14
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
OBSERVATION:
If you ever want to know the richness of what God has provided for us through Christ Jesus then read this chapter. Paul tells us that we are included in His glorious plan of redemption when we heard the message of truth, which was the Good News of your salvation. It is especially good news because I’m included! When I believed I was marked with a seal, which set me apart and it guaranteed our inheritance until the time when God completes hour redemption. This seal is special because – it is the Holy Spirit whom He sent to reside in us and with us. The Holy Spirit corrects us, empowers us, encourages us, teaches us, loves us. He does not leave us unattended. This seal is alive in us!
APPLICATION:
The Holy Spirit provides us with everything need to live a holy life worthy of our calling. He also keeps pointing us to Christ and His redemption. The Holy Spirit is just as committed to bring to completion our Salvation as Jesus was in providing it through His life, death, and resurrection. Each moment we must recognize what a marvelous gift God has given to us – by providing His Spirit to ensure that our salvation will be made complete -to the praise of His Glory!
PRAYER:
Lord God, “thank you…thank You…Thank You for Your Spirit whom You have come to make His home in my life. His power and love and direction, encouragement, and patience are everything I need to make it through each day in a manner worthy of Your calling. In fact every aspect of the “fruit of the Spirit” He demonstrates to me – that they might be expressed through me. I love You! AMEN
